Creating has been an integral part of my life from my earliest memories. As a child, I was an avid Lego builder, often being commissioned by my sister to build houses for her Lego family. I'd also build entire cities in sandboxes with all the necessary elements you’d find in a city to bring them to life. This love of creation continued into high school, where I designed greeting cards to be sold to my schoolmates in economics class. After joining the Army as a Carpenter and Mason in an Engineer Battalion, I discovered my passion for digital creation, particularly through tools like Photoshop and Unreal Developer Kit.
Over time, I honed my skills through experimentation and a focus on mastering tools and processes. While the focus of my personal work is simply to create for the sake of doing so, the skills and techniques I've developed have led to recognition in the form of a prestigious award from the National Endowment for the Arts to study in Europe, as well as a diverse and rewarding career in art and design.
I find excitement in working across a variety of mediums, including wood, paint, print, photography, 3D printing, CNC, and digital spaces. For me, the process of creation is just as important, if not more, as the outcome. I love exploring, now with my children, the boundaries, of different tools, processes, and techniques, and finding new and interesting ways to combine them. At the end of the day, the results are the cherry on top of a process-driven cake - a satisfying finish to a journey that is focused on the joy and satisfaction of creating something new and unique.
